inspiration for the life indoors...

Now that the days are getting shorter, and noticeably colder too,
I find myself retreating into the comfort of the life indoors.
*
So goodbye summer picniks,
goodbye long evenings on the terrace
and goodbye short sleeved T-shirts!
*
Instead my attention turns to long and fragrant baking sessions, cozy candle light
and a range of activities that just work better when it's cold outside,
such a knitting, or crocheting, or completely losing yourself
in a 1000-page book with a hairy pet and a blanket on your knees.
*
*
How about you?
What's your favourite indoor pass-time?
And how do you cozy-up for the dark times ahead?
Do tell!

Cocooning is one of my favorite things. Your description of your life indoors sounds perfect. I'm learning to knit so that is how I spend the darker evenings. John is usually strumming away on his guitar. I miss being outside but staying in can be just as nice.

p.s. I love the woodland creatures you are introducing us to :)
