there's talk of snow...

Outside it's been raining for 36 hours straight,
but inside the pilli pilli laboratories,
the weather has turned to snow...
And not just a little bit...
I'm talking BIG piles of snow!
 *
Which reminds me I wanted to tell you that it has snowed again...
For real, I mean.
Not in the valley, where we live (nothing but rain for us),
but higher up in the mountains, everything is turning white!
*
This is going to be my first winter in the Dolomite Alps,
and I guess I'm still quite impressed about how high those mountains really are,
and how early the rains have turned into snow up there!
I guess it's all especially wondersome to me,
as I grew up in Belgium, which has a very mild (and quite boring) sea climate...
That means it rains a lot (and I mean A LOT),
but it never gets really cold and so snow is rather rare.
And even whèn it snows, the big white wonderful never tends to last very long,
as it usually all melts away into sad grey mess within a day or two...
So I'm absolutely loving this White Winter Wonderland!!!
*
And how about you?
What's the climate like on your side of the globe?
???

Here in New Jersey the weather is very nice, between 70-60F and it's fall so everything is colorful, it's just amazing the bright yellow, orange and red colors.

Beautiful embroideries! I love the scenes you captured with needle and thread. We woke up to snow this morning, our first snowfall of the winter. It was lovely, so we went for a hike, even tho it was cold.
